I get the impression that introducing a few pre-set body types - something they've technically already done in Frostbite, if you count the different races in DA:I - and introducing a full procedural body morph slider are several orders of magnitude apart in terms of complexity/required time/effort/resources.

This is far from something that would make or break the character creator for me, I just thought I'd like to weigh in on the topic. If anything, I think it is far more likely that we'd see body types since those would each be at a set height and build so to speak.īasically, these body types would be akin to the racial body type of Inquistion except, of course, that the buff, the normal and the scrawny type would be avaliable for the player to select from. I could see this as a possibility especially since there's only one playable race planned for Mass Effect: Andromeda and the development team might decide it is worth the time and resources to add as an addition to the character creator. The Fallout series and the Mass Effect series are very different especially in terms of cinematics and animations.

I very much doubt we'll see body, be they build or height, sliders like the ones in Fallout 4 in the game due to the added issues, I think, that would add to the skeletons and animations.
